Members of the Dayton Christian School Class of 2021 began their march to Pomp and Circumstance on May 30 at 6 pm at Southbrook Christian Church.
After the welcome by DC Junior High/High School Principal Gabe Pethtel, Eagle Scouts Alex Heinrich and Sam Reynolds led all in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance. Class chaplain Nathaniel Geiss opened the evening in prayer.
Chloe Dickerson, senior class vice president, presented Dayton Christian School with a gift from the class: a donation of more than $5000 towards new flooring for the cafeteria.
William Cron, Brianna Blake, and Xi Holliday gave testimonies about their time at DC.
After a charge to the graduates by Reverend Robert Lyons, the 73 members of the senior class received their hard-earned and long-awaited diplomas. Congratulations, Class of 2021!

A number of students were honored with special awards unique to Dayton Christian School.
Sam Reynolds received the Daniel Award and Faith Conover received the Esther Award for showing courageous faith in a challenging culture. William Cron was presented the Joshua Award for displaying positive participation and leadership at Dayton Christian High School.
Brianna Blake received the Lydia Award for showing consistent wisdom and a discerning heart in her endeavors at DCHS. The Mary Award, selected by the senior class, also went to Blake for her consistent and faithful walk with Christ.
Nine students were honored with the Warrior Award, a recognition of students who live a life that is balanced, excelling in spiritual, physical, social, and academic fitness. Warrior Award recipients included: Brianna Blake, Faith Conover, William Cron, Chloe Dickerson, Nathaniel Geiss, Julia Hahn, Alex Heinrich, Xi Holliday and Sam Reynolds.
