Event Awards

On Friday, August 8, Dayton Christian High School held its third annual “Advanced Placement 4/5 Luncheon” at the historic Dayton Engineers Club in downtown Dayton.

This special luncheon and awards ceremony was hosted by our high school principal, Gabe Pethtel, and our Academics and Life Calling Advisor, Renetta Hendricks. It was attended by our Advanced Placement teachers, high scoring students, several DCS Board members, and DCS Head of School, Dr. Gredy

It has become a tradition at DC over the past three years to celebrate the hard work and high achievement of DCHS students who take Advanced Placement tests and earn the highest possible scores of a 4 or 5. These high scores are not only symbolic of excellence in Advanced Placement classes taken during each student’s time at DC, but also are distinctions that will likely earn them advanced credits in college as well as exposure to greater potential for college scholarships.

This was a banner year for DCHS in terms of high scores among all Advanced Placement classes as thirty students racked up a total of 48 high scores of 4 or 5.
