DC Students Excel At State Science Day

Eight DCHS students who took part in the Ohio Academy of Science’s State Science Day exceled in the virtual event.  Each of the students earned a rating of Excellent or Superior, and many received special recognition for their work.

Benjamin LaCasse earned a rating of Superior and was honored with a the Behavioral Science Award and a second place award from the Association of Ohio Music Therapists.

Nathan Reynolds earned a rating of Superior.

Rhett Baily earned a rating of Excellent and was awarded a tuition scholarship from Ohio University.

Emma Brown earned a rating of Excellent.

Becket DeBusk earned a rating of Excellent and was awarded first place from the Society of Petroleum Engineers and third place from the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program.

Sam Hendricks earned a score of Superior and received the Believe in Ohio STEM Entrepreneurship Award.

Avi Sakthikamaran earned a rating of Superior.

Seth Thompson earned a Superior rating and earned the Governor’s Thomas Edison Award.
